Ethos
In my essay I used ethos. I included real life examples from my life to help explain the point I was trying to make. "For example, I know a girl who has Bi Ploar Disorder, she will go from happy to crying in no time at all..." This is ethos because I took a real like situation and I applied it to my writing to help me earify my point. The example wasn't about me but because I had associated with the girl I was able to use it as ethos as an experience.

Ethos is all about knowing your subject and presenting yourself with authority over the topic. I think you really had the right idea in writing about something that you have had to deal with in your own life. However, I would like to know a little more about how this girl allowed you to experience mental illness. Use more than just you were her friend. Were you around her often? Did she have episodes or ever change in your presence? What about her allowed the personal experience?
