Paper 1 Persona

For Paper 1, I want my persona, or voice, to come off as a person who knows what they're talking about, in my paper's case: Doctor Who, and also someone who can be trusted to give truthful information. When it comes to such a complicated show, some of the most important things for a fan is to know exactly what is going on in the show, to understand what the Doctor is talking about through his technical language, and to comprehend how the conflict or opposition was eliminated. As a writer concerning this of all topics, I need to know these few things and more to be able to explain to the audience the four misconceptions and my rebuttal to each one of them respectively.

I have been watching Doctor Who since the Christmas of 2013, and have since seen every episode of the new series, so I believe that I have the necessary qualifications to write about the show.

  1. How do you show that you know what you're talking about? How do you expect a fan of the show to not understand what is going on? There really are no 'qualifications' to write about a show, but the way you write about it means more than saying you've watch it all. It's like saying "I've seen all of Picasso's paintings, so I can critique them."
